CHANTILLY MAN ARRESTED ON POSSESSION OF CHILD PORN
by NOVA- D.C. Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

FAIRFAX – A Chantilly man is out on bond Friday (Oct. 7.) after being arrested by the Northern Virginia – Washington, D.C. Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force on a child pornography charge. Acting on information provided by a detective with the Combined County Investigative Unit in Cumberland, Md., the NOVA-DC ICAC Task Force executed a search warrant Thursday evening at a residence in the 4300 block of Poplar Branch Road in Chantilly. Through the consent search, investigators seized almost two dozen disks containing child pornography and a computer from the residence. Steve F. Garrison, 53, was placed under arrest without incident at his Poplar Branch Road residence. Garrison has been charged with one felony count of possessing child pornography. The investigation remains ongoing at this time. To counter society’s rapid explosion of online child exploitation, pornography and predators, 20 local, state and federal agencies have partnered to create the Northern Virginia-DC Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. NOVA-DC ICAC Task Force members are as follows: Alexandria Police Department, Arlington Police Department, Fairfax City Police Department, Fairfax County Police Department, Falls Church Police Department, Herndon Police Department, Leesburg Police Department, Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Manassas City Police Department, Manassas Park Police Department, Prince William County Police Department, Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, Vienna Police Department, Washington, DC Metropolitan Police Department, George Mason University Police Department, NOVA Community College Police Department, Virginia State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Department of Justice Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (DOJ-JJDP), and U.S Postal Service.
