FOUR ARRESTED FOR SOLICITING MINORS BY INTERNET

NOVA-DC Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

 

FAIRFAX – The Northern Virginia-Washington DC Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force have arrested four local men for attempting child sexual exploitation on the internet.

 

The arrests are the result of the ICAC Task Force investigation operation conducted by specially trained investigators.  The Task Force is comprised of twenty-three local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

 

All four individuals were charged in Fairfax County with taking indecent liberties with children (Code of VA 18.2-370) and using a communication system in the use of a felony (Code of VA 18.2-374.3).   

 

The following agencies of the NOVA-DC ICAC Task Force participating in these investigations: Arlington County Police Department, Fairfax County Police Department, Manassas City Police Department, Manassas Park Police Department, Prince William County Police Department, Washington, DC Metropolitan Police Department, Virginia State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).   

 

ICAC maintains a Web site to provide anyone with information on the Internet, online safety tips and how to report an online crime.  The Web site is http://www.novadcicac.org.   

 

The public can report child sexual exploitation by calling the CyberTipline at 1-800-843-5678 or online at www.cybertipline.com.
